The three darker shades are just too similar, even with one being a very shimmery shade. If they’d one of the mattes a a lot lighter or darker, or at least made one a satin, it would have helped. I didn’t even check to ensure the weight was the same as the last palette released. I’m so sorry for causing you confusion and having you have to waste your time with this comment! The product describes this as an “all over glow” highlighter. I found them too glowy to be used all over the face.

It’s a drier, dustier set of shades, and the monochromatic nature of it didn’t come together as well as I expected as they shades ran too much into each other. If the last shade was a few shades deeper, it would have made the quad more versatile and more likely to work across skin tones. The frostiness of the first shade didn’t jive as well with the mattes, and it all ended up looking dusty on my lid. Pillow Talk Dream Eyes (Enhance) is a medium-dark red with warmer undertones and a metallic sheen. The consistency was smooth, lightly creamy, and easy to work with. It had opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and blended out well along the edges.

It is quite a cohesive palette and one of CT’s better ones. There isn’t a single colour in here that I even like. For those who love these shades, I’m sure it’s a wonderful palette but for me, it’s an easy “no”. Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk is a moderately warm-toned, light peach with a luminous finish. It is a permanent blush that retails for $40.00 and contains 0.28 oz. Overall the quality and color payoff of everything in her new launch is great.

This is holiday season, so there are lots of gift sets available for the next few months. I personally think it really brings out my blue eyes and the warm tones really brighten up the face. It mimics the shape of a lip brush, which helps you achieve really precise application, even if you don’t have a lip pencil. Duplicate a high-end product or never buy the same shade twice. You really have to try to make a quad internally redundant — that should only be a problem with larger palettes. There’s none that come to mind, though I’m sure there were a couple that were decent – I have not tried all of the quads to my memory (which is terrible, so there’s that!).
And while I tend to prefer wearing the original shade for everyday wear, I LOVE how the medium shade looks paired with more full-faced makeup looks for date night and special occasions. These lipsticks also contain 3D glowing pigments that enhance the natural hue of the lips. If it’s going to be a staple item in your makeup collection and you know you will get a ton of use out of it, then it’s worth it. This one could have been a great little quad had the 1st and 3rd shades been less close in their depths once applied. I like that the colors are a deeper, richer take on the original Pillow Talk palette without sacrificing on quality.
It’s hands-down one of the most versatile lipstick shades that can be worn everyday for any occasion, making it a great value. The lipstick does have a slight vanilla scent to it, but it’s not overpowering or overwhelming. All the shades are a bit too warm for me but I can see this being a great staple type quad for a lot of people, especially in summer, with all those warm, sun-tanny type shades.
NEW! PILLOW TALK BIG LIP PLUMPGASMFAIR TO MEDIUM
The texture was lightly creamy, dense but not heavy or thick, and easy to work with. It wore well for eight and a half hours before showing signs of fading. The pillow talk lipsticks are a moisturizing matte formula enhanced with the antioxidant lipstick tree and orchid extract for a soft, kissable finish. Pillow Talk Dreams #2 is a dark, reddish-brown with subtle warmth and a matte finish.
I’m reposting swatches I had from a previous review below. It also has a satin finish compared to a matte finish in the other two. If I’m being honest it’s probably the most I’ve ever paid for a lipstick.

The level of warmth or coolness will ultimately depend on the individual who’s wearing it, and typically appears more pink on warm skin tones and more nude/neutral on cooler skin tones. She has normal-to-dry skin with occasional dryness on cheeks and nose. She has a light plus skintone with subtle, warmer yellow undertones (view her foundation matches here). It’s too dewy for my cheeks, a bit too sheer for the lips for my taste.
I get compliments on this look all the time, but it does require using a darker shade from another palette to achieve. Christine, your review is basically on par with the lone 1 star review I left on the Charlotte Tilbury. That glitter shade is useless and was gone within an hour. I gave slightly lower marks but it was colored by my immense disappointment (as this was my first palette from the brand) and the insane price point for such a mediocre product.
I think it could have still had a bit more contrast, though, and still been as easy to use, since the formula was easy to sheer out. It’s nice….but I seriously just don’t get the hype surrounding this quad. I’m not sure if it’s because others are using this with primer or are just enjoying the simplicity of it?
I actually like her Pop shades and find them easy to use—just slap it on at the end. When quads have a really dark 4th color I feel pressured to use it and it often makes a look more complicated than it need be. So with her palettes if I feel I need more depth I just pair it with an eyeliner. Palettes overwhelm me with too many choices, but I like the idea of one that will give me a limited number of easy options.
I know not everyone is a fan of Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks, so I’d love to know your experience with the lipsticks. I’m happy to report that these lipsticks are not drying, and the formula itself was one of the things I was really impressed with. This nude-pink shade is absolutely beautiful, universally-flattering, and works for any and every occasion.
Seems as though she does indeed lack inclusion of anyone Medium or beyond. The only exception may be those Cat-eyes e/s singles from a few years back, which would have worked on anyone and everyone! Unfortunately, that’s where the brand’s inclusiveness ends. Hers is not the only brand guilty of excluding us, but it is one that does so in a way that makes it a brand that only barely gets my attention for that reason. Whilst this isn’t my kind of palette, I think it has been well done. The shimmer and matte shades had both decent pigmentation and depth to them.
Her kits are a great way to go to try multiple products at a lower price. Honestly, I wear Pillow Talk regularly and use it many times to create swatches for this blog, and I still have a long ways to go to even finish the mini size I got a couple years ago. Minis always last so much longer than you think possible. Plus, the mini is much lighter weight and more compact in size for carrying in your purse. Pillow Talk is one of the first Charlotte Tilbury shades I acquired in a holiday kit of three mini lipsticks.
The colors didn’t all work out for me, but there are some solid new loves for me. If I had to pick one stand out it would be her new Pillow Talk Dreams Eyeshadow Palette. It’s worth noting that Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks smell like delicious vanilla frosting. I don’t notice the smell after applying the lipstick though. If you’ve tried this new shade, let me know what you think!
